Monday, March 1st, 2010 Charlotte, NC.  Sheraton Airport 

12 Noon –1:00PM:  Meeting room open for “Meet and Greet”.  Sponsor tables open. 

1:00-1:30PM:  Introductions and RSA updates by Chris Griffith RSA Section 13 Board member and Susan Melenchuk, RSA Executive Director. Followed by event sponsor recognitions and introductions.   

1:30-1:45PM: Facility operator and staff introductions. 

1:45PM – 3:15PM: Redemption 101 PLUS Is redemption right for you and how to get the most out of your redemption? 

In this seminar Jim Chapman will cover the basics of doing redemption the proper way from the start. He will show attendees just how easy it is and debunk the myths of redemption. For the more seasoned attendees he will cover several key strategies that he has used in his Family Fun Parks for over 40 plus years. Jim will discuss in detail his Magic Potion, the use of leaders, five or six great promotions that help fill your facilities with paying customers, and answer any and all questions attendees may have.

Jim’s PowerPoint presentation is filled with pictures of how he does things in his parks. This tells the story of how redemption has increased the locations’ revenues and kept the customers coming back for more fun and prizes.

3:15-3:30PM:  Follow–up questions and break. 

3:30-5:00 PM:   Growing your business…From the outside in.(Part 1)   What does this mean to you?  Get some input from Jim and Cindy Anderson  as they share some of their strategies that have made them one of the most successful and well respected operators in the country.  

8:00PM–until Late:  Hotel lounge gathering and networking. This is where friendships are born and deals get done. Meet your fellow operators, industry professionals, and manufacturers.  Sit, learn, and socialize as you find out what you really want to know.  

Tuesday, March 2nd 

8:30-9:00AM:  Pastries, coffee, and juices available in meeting room. (Included with your registration fee.) 

9:00-10:15AM: Gang Awareness Seminar: Presented by the Mecklenburg-Charlotte Sheriff’s Office.  An insightful presentation that will help educate and inform you of the reality of gangs in our communities.  Participants will learn about emerging gang trends, the definition of a gang, why youth join gangs, the influence of media and popular culture, gang “family” bonding factors, gang recognition fundamentals, community risk, and protective factors, and collaborative efforts for prevention and intervention through the Gang of One initiative.    

10:15–10:30AM:  Break.  

10:30-11:45AM Cranes and Merchandisers...Some of the best revenue producers there are! 

Jim Chapman will discuss how to use cranes and merchandisers to maximize their income. The cranes of today are much easier to use, much less expensive and are some of the best ROI games in the market. Jim will show the attendees just how easy they are to fill, service and how these games create great excitement in their locations. He will also discuss how to use merchandisers in their locations and which merchandiser to buy and where to get the prizes for them.                                             

11:45-12Noon: Individual RSA business meetings for Chapters 8, 12, and 13.

1:15-2:15PM:    Growing your business…From the outside in. (Part 2)  Chris Griffith  presents his take on our event topic.        

2:15-3:15PM:  Operator Crossfire. A big hit from our previous meeting, so we brought it back.  Various operators are given 5 minutes to share and 5 minutes of response time (10 minutes total) per topic for impactful techniques and industry secrets that have helped them generate more revenue, save money, or simplify a strategy.  Advance topic submission is requested. 

3:15-4:00PM: Seminar wrap up and operator open microphone discussion.
