12:45-1:00PM:  Facility and operator introductions

 

1:00 PM   Team Tryouts, Chris and Tammy Griffith of Skate Station Sumter share their proven methods of how to hire the "right fit" people while reducing turnover. Their audition style group interview creates an atmosphere that helps identify a more desirable hire. Be prepared to engage in this interactive and inspiring seminar.

Meet your fellow operators, industry professionals, and manufacturers.  Sit, socialize, and learn the tricks of the trade.   And all the ole timers said, “Amen.” .

U-Profit Business Success, “Do You Need DJ’s or Fun Directors?”

An introduction to the importance of the position in a roller skating center, and why the DJ’s are critical to your business success. Why good DJ’s make you money and bad DJ’s cost you money.

   10:45am – 11:00am                    Session Formats/Music Selection - TBA

This valuable presentation on utilizing session formats and selection of age appropriate music will determine the satisfaction level customers get from their experience. The higher the level the more return visits a customer will make.

   11:00am – 11:15am                   Break

   11:15am – 12:30pm                   Announcements/Commercials/Sweepers/Sales -Bill Carlson

In this workshop DJ’s will have an opportunity to get on the microphone and perform. Each will be given a real rink situation with time to solve it. The attendees will then discuss the performance.

   2:00pm – 3:00pm                      Floor Supervision/Crowd Control -Workshop

This workshop will engage everyone in developing a list of the best ways to supervise the skating floor and control the crowd no matter what size it is.

   3:00pm – 3:15pm                    Break

   3:15pm – 4:15pm                    Programs/ Events/Games/ Characters -Workshop

In this workshop attendees will get serious about “creating memorable experiences. Learn why timeliness, quality, fair play, making it a big deal and most of all fun matters.

   4:30pm – 5:30pm                  Discipline/Emergencies -Bill Carlson

We will close out the day working on two topics rarely discussed but are so important for your business. Customers will act however you let them act. You must have a code of conduct, fairly enforced in order to gain respect for how you operate. What do you need to do in case of an emergency? From roller skating accidents to natural disasters and even the unthinkable.

     This is one of the most-timely and important programs ever offered to the industry.

     This program is for your key personnel and DJ’s. We will make them all FUN DIRECTORS.

     Registration for this program is the first two registrations from a facility are 2/$159.00 and each additional are $69.00 each. Your registration includes a workbook, breakfast, lunch and breaks but you must be ready to work.
